So after some debates and discussions I have chosen to stick with Spektrum radio gear (I already run both planes and boats) and have purchased the following:

Spektrum DX3S (SPM3140): The new one that supports DSM2 and the new Marine Receiver

Spektrum MR3000 Marine Recevier

Venom radio bag/box
