SPD III drive

A friend told me of a good tip regarding the SPDIII drive. When you install a new stuffing tube let it hang out of the transom a bit. Then put a couple o-rings on the stuffing tube between the bracket and body of the drive. The reason for doing this is to lesson the grease that flows out all over the transom and force it to the cartage to lubricate the bearings.
