Hey Tony and fellow boaters. I just received my new Enforcer team pro 46" today and it looks awesome.  Everything is ready to go except I can't get the shaft fully in as the cartridge assembly with the prop doesn't slide fully in to where the grove and screw should line up.  It will line up fine without the shaft in place but not with the shaft so for some reason the shaft will not go up far enough, even with a large amount of force?? Also which end of the shaft goes into the clutch area?  I really want to try this out this weekend and this is the only thing stoping me.  Would appreciate some help from anyone.

Thanks guys!!

Adam,

It doesn't really matter what end goes into the engine, however we usually put the longer end into the clutch. If the boat is new and factory assembled Mike would of installed the cable and drive and tested before leaving the shop.

The cable is designed to float with about 1/8" free-play. The cable ends can only go about 5/8" into the ferrule on the SPD, and a bit further in the clutch.

If you continue to have an issue call us Monday and I will put Mike on the phone.

The overall cable length - 10, 1/4" If that is correct it is not set deep enough into the ferrule and or clutch, maybe more force is in order, there's nothing you can hurt by pushing it in, however please use a oven mit or a towel wrapped around the prop. NEVER push the assembly in without protection on your hand.
