Hussain,

It is so nice to see a modeler like you that not only runs high performance gas boats, but also can build them, and also appreciates semi-scale model boating. I always believed back as far as I can remember that gas engines would find thier way in the scale and semi-scale model boating world but for reasons unknown never really took hold. Maybe times have changed and guys like you will inspire a new breed of model boat builders, and then I can offer some of the projects that would compliment that part of the industry.

There are so many things that can be done to make a scale boat exciting not relating to speed. I once built a Fire Tug from our tug boat that had a working water cannon, working lights and radar, air horn, bow thruster, full deck hands, and even a captain in the wheel house with a turning steering wheel mechanically tie to the rudder servo. I entered it in a contest and took first place and then sold the boat on the spot for $3000.00 back in 1989.

Speed is exciting but not as exciting than what you can do with your imagination and hands, in my opinion anyway.

Please keep us up to date with your inline engine Coast Guard boat, I can't wait to see it!

Hussain,

The engine we manufactre for our Super G is a perfect engine for the scale boats. It has a 4" flywheel and idles very low. The engine can be water-cooled using 1/8" aluminum tubing for very cheap. We sell the engines with mounts and a clutch for- $199.95 a very good price for a high quality engine. I have sold many for custom projects like yours over the past 4 years we have been producing them.
